Many immigrants aspire to migrate to Canada due to its breathtaking landscapes, security, economic stability, free education, and robust healthcare system. Canada is considered a hope for many dreamers seeking a stable and secure life. On the other hand, the Canadian government anticipates the arrival of a staggering number of immigrants, reaching 1.2 million by the year 2024. Canada facilitates procedures for immigrants from all nationalities, particularly those from Arab nations.
With the start of 2024, the Canadian government has introduced two pioneering immigration programs: the "Experimental Food and Agriculture Pathway" and the "Experimental Caregiver Program." These programs open doors for a large number of immigrants, and in the following lines, we will outline the requirements for these programs.
This program is available until May 14, 2025, with amendments scheduled for May 18, 2023.
It allows family members of applicants who have received an acknowledgment of receipt to apply for an open work permit.
1. Individuals must have at least one year of cumulative full-time work in the past three years in professions such as butchers, meat cutters, agricultural service contractors, animal husbandry workers, harvesters, among other jobs listed in the National Occupational Classification.
2. The program specifies a language proficiency requirement, with applicants needing to achieve Level 4 on the Canadian Language Benchmark in both English and French.
3. The employer's reference letter is accepted, and Canada now recognizes reference letters from unions if the employer is unable to provide an experience letter.
The following are specific National Occupational Classification codes for qualified professions in this pathway:
- NOC Code: 63201 - Butchers, Retail and Wholesale
- NOC Code: 65202 - Meat Cutters and Fishmongers - Retail and Wholesale
- NOC Code: 94141 - Industrial Butchers and Meat Cutters, Poultry Preparers, and Related Workers

This program offers support for home support and experimental programs for in-home caregivers for children. Both experimental caregiver programs consist of two categories:
1. Experience Gain Category: For applicants with little or no experience in occupations classified under NOC 44100 or 44101.
2. Permanent Residence Category: For applicants with 24 months or more of experience in occupations classified under NOC 44100.
- 12 months of experience
- Qualified candidates receive a work permit to accumulate 24 months of Canadian experience, then can apply for permanent residence directly after meeting experience criteria.
- To apply for permanent residence, applicants need:
- A minimum of 24 months of full-time work experience in Canada in the last 36 months
- Post-secondary education for at least one year
- Any experience or training demonstrating the ability to perform the job
